The winery Thomas Mayr was founded approximately in the year 1886 and is located in the typical Lagrein-area of Gries near Bolzano/Bozen, in Alto Adige/Südtirol, in the North of Italy. Throughout the years Thomas and his father Luis Mayr have become successful in combining traditional heritage with modern methods in processing grapes. A rigorous selection and the utmost respect for the natural composition of the product ensure the special quality of the wine. The grape “Lagrein”, an autochthonous grape of this area, plays a special role to which the maximum care of the winery is dedicated.
